The community is located in southern Greene County 1.5 miles north of the Greene – Christian county line. Missouri Route FF passes through the community. Wilsons Creek and Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield are two miles west of the townsite.
Battlefield is a city in Greene County, Missouri. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 5,590. It is part of the Springfield, Missouri Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town has no post office and shares the ZIP code (65619) with Brookline.
Battlefield has experienced rapid residential growth in the last five years! Large subdivisions have been planned and are being built in all areas of the city. While the growth has slowed some since the 2003-2004 time frame, they continue to field inquiries from developers interested in their community.
